Team Leader Training

Objectives
 
Team Leader Training aims to provide trainees with the knowledge, skills and techniques for effective supervision, individual motivation and team building. It focuses on achieving the task through teams and individuals, whilst maintaining good relationships with the team, their own manager, with the other managers and people with whom they interact across the organization.

The concept of virtual teaming is introduced and explained.

This Team Leader training provides the supervisor/team leader with an overview of the many facets of leadership and management that they will need to practice and which they will encounter in more detail later in their management career both from a training and practical application point of view.

  • How to enhance (non)verbal behavior to control the group process and generate contribution
  • What are the responsibilities of a Team Leader in terms of Task, Team and Individuals
  • Current and target skill levels.
  • Leadership vs Management.
  • Teams and how they work.
  • How to develop your Communications Skills.
  • Assigning work, follow up and evaluation.
  • How to Delegate, how to Plan and how to handle conflicts within the team.
  • How to motivate – yours and theirs.
  • Coaching and Continuous Professional Development
Prerequisites Good level of English and experience of working in a team.
Who should attend This course is relevant for anyone who holds or will shortly hold a supervisory/team leader position and who wants to understand and improve his or her Team Leader skills and habits. This includes anyone who leads a team, whether within their functional group or as a virtual team across the organization.
Languages English, French and Dutch
Nb of participants 12 participants. Attendance is limited per session to permit the maximum interaction and practical experience.
Duration  2 days.
